Job Title: Architectural Engineer

Job Overview
An Architectural Engineer is responsible for integrating architectural design concepts with engineering principles to ensure functionality, safety, sustainability, and compliance with local regulations. The role involves close coordination with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality building projects from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, develop, and coordinate architectural designs in line with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, layouts, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi building codes, municipal regulations, and international standards.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and BIM teams to resolve design clashes and ensure constructability.
- Support project planning, execution, and design modifications during construction stages.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify design implementation, and address technical issues.
- Assist in material selection, technical evaluations, and value engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and technical submittals for architectural compliance.
- Ensure designs adhere to sustainability, safety, and quality standards.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in architectural engineering or building projects (experience in Saudi Arabia preferred).
- Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and systems.
- Knowledge of Saudi building codes and regulations is an advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software.
- Working knowledge of BIM coordination and interdisciplinary design integration.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents accurately.
- Good communication and coordination skills with cross‑functional teams.
- Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
