Job description

We are looking for an Application Engineer (OpenShift Container Platform) to join our platform team. You’ll be responsible for managing container platforms, supporting deployments, and ensuring reliability across mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters, including installation, upgrades, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Support and administer application servers (Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, NGINX) with a focus on deployment, publishing, performance, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and related tools.
  • Integrate and support web services (SOAP/REST/APIs) across platforms.
  • Leverage automation frameworks (Red Hat Ansible, Docker) to enhance reliability and scalability.
  • Configure and use monitoring tools (Kibana and others) for performance and health checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and seamless product deployments.
  • (Nice to have) Experience with RabbitMQ and Redis for messaging and caching.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in application stack administration (Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, NGINX).
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix environments with hands‑on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting experience.
  • 1+ years of practical experience managing OpenShift clusters and related tooling.
  • Solid knowledge of Kubernetes administration and best practices.
  • Expertise with Ansible, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Kibana.
  • Proven ability to perform application issue resolution, root cause analysis, and system optimization.
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure and database fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Skills in designing topologies, enhancing services, and producing clear documentation.
  • Familiarity with messaging and caching systems (RabbitMQ, Redis).
Preferred Certifications
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
