Job description
Position Overview

The FICO Solution Architect will focus on defining solution strategy and design principles, ensuring the alignment between the business needs and technical solutions. The architect will serve as the subject matter expert to guide technology strategy for SAP and non‑SAP solutions. Once they are given a problem, an SAP Architect’s role is not only to oversee finding answers but of actively leading the technical vision to success.

The FICO Solution Architect plays a key role in the evolution and transformation of the ERP and Financial Systems strategy and the supporting technology; this includes everything from defining standards, controls and governance, including engagement in the Architectural Review Boards. This also requires day‑to‑day planning, scheduling, directing and coordinating dialogue within the SAP organization, suppliers and with the business leadership.

The FICO Solution Architect will also lead initiatives and projects, when required, based on scope and requirements and may also need to manage 3rd‑party consultants in order to complete the initiatives and projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Drive Innovation by bringing innovative ideas and approaches to the Enterprise Financial organization to drive continuous improvements.
  • Defining the standards, and principles, encompassing system design and configuration for the Finance and Controlling modules.
  • Lead the Process Standardization across the enterprise to ensure consistent and efficient financial operations for non‑standard processes with a goal to optimize the processes.
  • Interpret and deliver impactful designs to improve business continuous improvements and the Enterprise transformation/Initiatives.
  • Defining and ensuring the seamless integration with other SAP modules like Material Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) modules.
  • Assisting with mapping data flows for the Company Financial Requirements, including migrations from legacy systems to the target system, including Data Lake Data Marts.
  • Translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications across the FICO workstream.
  • Preparing visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality and process flows.
  • Monitoring data quality and ensuring adherence to data governance policies.
  • Lead in the evaluation and recommendation of emerging technologies for Finance and Controlling.
  • Ensure compliance by developing controls for new audit requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline required.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with SAP Finance and Controlling solution design and end‑to‑end implementation with a minimum of 10 years.
  • Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS knowledge.
  • Must have designed and implemented SAP FICO and 3rd‑party Finance solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Finance Solutions Architecture.
  • Meet with business stakeholders to understand their data needs.
  • Work with IT teams to implement and maintain financial data architecture.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure data governance policies are being followed.
  • Collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.
