POSITION OVERVIEW

BUCHI is a world-leading business offering fully automated laboratory technology for R&D, quality assurance, and production including industries of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & feed, beverage, environmental analysis, and academia. We are looking for a remote Staff Accountant who reports to US Finance, collaborates with team members to manage and complete essential accounting functions. Responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable, bank transaction postings, and ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Policies (US GAAP).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• General Accounting: Perform incoming bank postings, month-end close activities, and AR/AP aging analyses.
• Accounts Payable: Manage and process accounts payable transactions.
• Accounts Receivable: Oversee and process accounts receivable transactions.
• Bank Management: posting daily accounting transactions.
• Audit Support: Assist in preparing for and supporting the annual audit.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain records in accordance with company accounting policies.
• Additional Tasks: Execute other accounting tasks as assigned by the manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Accounting Knowledge: Functional understanding of US GAAP.
• Software Proficiency: SAP (preferred) or similar ERP experience
• Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
• Software Learning: Capacity to learn new systems such as SAP Business One, Concur AP, Sales Force, Power BI.
• Analytical Skills: financial analytical and detail-oriented abilities.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required (US education preferred but not required).
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in US accounting.
• Excel Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
