Overview
The Training and Development Senior Supervisor will lead and implement training and development programs and initiatives for Mexico and will be based on-site at the Tijuana manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all applicable programs and resources offered through the Talent Development portfolio are available and accessible to all employees within the region. Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Talent Development, Americas, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our employees while driving business results and improving employee performance and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and implement global Talent Development initiatives including leadership development programs to enhance employee skills and drive business results
- Identify training gaps and opportunities for improvement, and create targeted solutions to address these gaps
- Facilitate professional development training sessions and other learning experiences that engage employees and promote skill development
- Collaborate with stakeholders including leadership to identify additional training opportunities and/or improve existing programs
- Participate and/or lead cross-functional, regional, and global projects
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Develop and manage budgets for training and development initiatives, and ensure that programs are delivered within budget and on time
- Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvements, and develop and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance
- Build and maintain relationships with external training providers, vendors, and partners
- Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of learning within the organization, and encourage employees to take ownership of their own development
- Stay current with industry trends and developments in training and development, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve training programs and services
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Training and Development, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training and development with a focus on designing and delivering training programs for adult learners
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing or industrial environment, to understand these unique training and development needs and possess the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Proven facilitation skills with the ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address skill gaps and other training needs
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Work effectively with global partners, considering cultural issues and differences, to achieve common objectives and drive business outcomes
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
- Must be assertive, resourceful, and proactive
- Strong MS Office experience
