About the Role: Amber Studio is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Senior Technical Artist with deep expertise in Unity Engine to bridge the gap between art and technology. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure that our games not only look stunning but also run seamlessly, optimizing assets and workflows to push the boundaries of visual excellence. Collaborating with our International Art Team, you'll be at the forefront of integrating 2D assets, animations, shaders, and visual effects into the engine, ensuring top‑tier performance and efficiency. This role is perfect for a problem‑solver who thrives at the intersection of art and engineering, blending creativity with cutting‑edge technical solutions. The Quest
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to develop and implement efficient technical solutions within Unity.
  • Lead the integration of 2D assets, animations, and visual effects, ensuring they are optimized for performance and quality.
  • Design and maintain custom tools, scripts, and shaders to streamline workflows and enhance the art production pipeline.
  • Optimize assets by managing sprite atlases, texture sizes, and rendering techniques to ensure smooth performance.
  • Implement and refine UI elements, including animations and transitions, to create a polished and engaging user experience.
  • Act as a bridge between art and engineering, troubleshooting issues and facilitating seamless communication.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by researching new Unity features, tools, and industry trends to drive innovation and elevate the game's visuals.
The Skills
  • 5–7 years of experience in the game industry, with at least 3–5 years in a dedicated technical artist role.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving abilities and strong communication skills in English, supported by a portfolio showcasing technical art expertise.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like Git and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative development environment.
  • Extensive experience with 2D animation pipelines, including lip‑sync technologies and Unity integrations.
  • Deep knowledge of the Spine animation library and its integration within Unity.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, with expert‑level understanding of the Unity Game Engine.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Unity UI pipeline, including animations and transitions.
  • Extensive experience with the DOTween library and its integration within Unity.
