Role purpose and responsibilities

The SQM Engineer will lead the supplier quality reporting directly to the SQM Leader. Supplier quality performance, VDA audits, inspections plans, lead measurements requirements, PPAP process are part of the responsibilities. This role requires leadership and motivation skills. SQM area assures the good quality of raw materials used for production.

What will you do?
  • Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Lead third party suppliers VDA Audits
  • Participate in APQP Projects
  • Conduct Product Part Review for new parts and new suppliers
  • Support SQE as technical and problem solving expert in complex problems
  • Support operation for production lines
  • Follow up of non-conformance materials from suppliers
  • Lead measurements for especial inspection required by any department and or the supplier
  • Drive NCC (Non Conformance Cost) recovery from supply base
  • Responsible for 8D form the Supplier non conformance
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of proven experience in related position
  • Knowledge in MS Office and SAP
  • Strong statistical analysis skills, advanced Minitab
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Thermoset, thermoplastic, metal stamping, ISO, VDA, APQP, Core Tools, Negotiation, 8Ds, PPAP, GD&T
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in leading multifunctional team
  • Desirable experience Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Lead Auditor VDA 6.3 is desirable
  • Black Belt Six Sigma is desirable
  • Proficiency in English is a must (Minimum B2)
