A leading healthcare technology firm in Tijuana is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Project Specialist. You will identify and execute projects that bring economic value, manage supplier relationships, and improve sourcing processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of strategic sourcing experience, with strong negotiation and analytical skills. Formación

Descripción del empleo

As the Senior Strategic Sourcing Project Specialist, you will:

  • Identify, lead, and execute projects that deliver economic value to the global Operations Networks
  • Conduct complex analysis of sourcing information for process improvement while maintaining high-quality product and service delivery.
  • Partner closely with the center-led category managers to understand and implement key pan-Medtronic strategies.
  • Represent and share network and site-specific requirements and strategies with the center-led category management organization.
  • Partner closely with key functions that support supply management (e.g., legal, finance, quality/compliance)
  • Ensure that manufacturing sites are being adequately supported; this includes but is not limited to consistent engagement with key stakeholders, developing and sharing dashboards with information on key metrics at a defined cadence, conducting site-level diagnostics and leading workshops to identify savings opportunities, managing supplier quality, and ensuring supply continuity.
  • Facilitate the supplier capacity assurance process, including providing capacity guidance to suppliers, analyzing, and proposing potential solutions for capacity constraints, and facilitating allocation discussions if required.
  • Build strong supplier relationships; serve as primary contact for issue resolution with suppliers.
  • Develop robust data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency and support the development of a baseline for sourcing cost reduction efforts.
  • Initiate and implement appropriate category strategy change
  • Create and establish internal and external benchmark analysis, including gap analysis, and required actions to achieve functional advantage.
  • Lead supplier negotiation efforts
  • Manage strategic supplier contracts
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of strategic sourcing experience in Strategic Sourcing including Supply Chain projects in a multi-divisional corporation
  • Negotiate new contracts with suppliers (facilities, IT, consulting, legal )
  • Experience in indirect sourcing and executing the category strategies
  • Strong stakeholders’ management skills to be a recognized Trusted Advisor

Nice to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, information systems, or business discipline plus 2 years of work experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, operations, or any functional area with demonstrated analytical and project-based acumen.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders; Medtronic is a highly matrixed organization and having the ability to influence and leverage the matrix is a key requirement.
