Overview

The Senior Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial Pricing Teams by leveraging advanced technical skills in SQL, Excel, and other analytics tools. This individual will be integral to the migration of SAS-based systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and will provide backend support for the Pricing System PROS and Rebate Management Tool: Enable. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, able to work seamlessly with both IT and business stakeholders, think strategically, and connect day-to-day tasks to long-term objectives. They will also play a key role in supporting AutoZone’s international commercial pricing operations in the US, Mexico, and Brazil, helping to ensure alignment in strategy, system usage, and process efficiencies across all markets. This role requires curiosity, initiative, and the ability to bridge relationships between teams and countries.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the migration of SAS-based pricing systems to GCP, ensuring smooth integration with cloud infrastructure.
  • Utilize advanced SQL and Excel skills to query and aggregate large data sets, providing actionable insights to inform pricing strategies and decision-making.
  • Support and maintain backend systems for the Pricing System PROS and Rebate Management Tool: Enable, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that align with both technical and business needs.
  • In addition to US support, partner with international pricing teams in Mexico and Brazil to support their commercial pricing strategies, ensuring consistent use of systems and best practices.
  • Act as a point of connection across all countries using the pricing tool, monitoring usage, and fostering alignment to maximize efficiency and results.
  • Develop and automate reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools, preferably Looker, but Power BI or Tableau skills are also valued.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance pricing accuracy, efficiency, and overall process flow.
  • Foster a culture of learning and innovation, taking initiative to continuously improve technical skills, with a focus on Python and other emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel, with experience in querying complex data sets and generating strategic reports.
  • Experience with SAS, Google BigQuery, and GCP is essential, with the ability to manage large-scale data migrations and integrations.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data management, database structures, and backend systems support.
  • Experience working collaboratively with IT and business teams on cross-functional projects.
  • International experience or ability to partner effectively with global teams preferred; English language is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an analytical or technical role, with a focus on analysis or data science.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Python skills are a plus, but SQL and Excel are needed.
