A leading multinational company in Tijuana is seeking an experienced individual to lead Operational Excellence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, particularly in the Japanese Automotive Industry, and must have a strong knowledge of Lean tools. This role involves leading strategy deployment, coaching leadership, and managing Continuous Improvement projects. Willingness to travel up to 40% is required.
Leads strategy deployment (SD), ensuring alignment of strategies through deployment of KPIs. Supports the leadership team in creating the vision and strategies for objectives improvement, site master plan, and the management process of BD Excellence components. Works closely with the Plant Manager to develop and implement the strategy for BD Excellence Maturity. Develops and executes with the leadership team and business unit managers the BD Excellence implementation plan, budget and CTW plans, and provides coaching to the leadership team in BD Excellence components. Develops and mentors a zero-loss mindset across different areas to optimize quality, delivery, cost, and safety. Teaches, coaches, and demonstrates proficiency in BD Excellence concepts and systematic approach, including strategy development & deployment (SDD), core components, Zero Loss mindset and related methodologies/tools. Manages Continuous Improvement activities at the site to ensure achievement of business objectives and leads breakthrough Kaizen events. Drives Cost to Win (CTW) initiative, focusing on initiatives to improve the plant’s operational performance, and collaborates with the Plant Manager and Business Unit Leaders to ensure CTW savings are realized. Develops and grows capability through components and component teams to establish fundamentals of excellence in safety, quality, and reliability; coaches and guides the site to focus resources and time on priorities. Coordinates the development and implementation of factory-loss improvement objectives in support of strategic goals and provides information to the site finance team to enable financial reporting. Demonstrates passion for safety, operator centricity, and customer focus. This job position must be available for traveling 40%.
