This role requires extensive experience in software development and team leadership, along with a strong focus on innovation, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Formación

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with +5 years of team management/leadership.
• Proven experience in product development and project approval through development phases.

As a Software Development Manager here at Honeywell, you will lead our software development team, driving innovation and excellence in software solutions. You will play a pivotal role in the development and deployment of software using various programming languages while ensuring the integration of automation, quality Assurance, DevSecOps, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technologies. You will report directly to our 1 and you’ll work out of our CDMX location on a 2 work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the growth and success of Honeywell by ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions, removing bottlenecks, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within your team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Utilize knowledge of programming languages to guide the development and deployment of software applications.
• Implement automation strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes.
• Ensure quality assurance practices are integrated throughout the development process.
• Lead DevSecOps initiatives to incorporate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning technologies to innovate and improve software solutions.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks and constraints in the development process to enhance team productivity.
• Propose trade-offs and alternative paths to achieve project goals effectively.
• Mentor and upskill team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Manage team performance, provide constructive feedback and support for career growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, launch, and manage projects effectively.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

YOU MUST

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with +5 years of team management/leadership with strong focus on project execution (Over 10 HCs)
• Proven experience in software development and management.
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages.
• Proven experience in product development and project approval through development phases.
• In-depth knowledge of automation tools and quality assurance methodologies.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts and applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
