A global technology services provider is seeking an Azure Technical Support Engineer based in Mexico City. This role focuses on ensuring the stability and performance of cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for developing data pipelines, collaborating with various stakeholders, and troubleshooting live technical issues. Candidates should have over five years of experience and proficiency with Azure Data Factory and Databricks. The position may offer remote or hybrid work options depending on client needs.

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Certification or hands-on expertise with Databricks on Azure.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Proficient in T-SQL and relational database concepts.
• Solid understanding of cloud data architecture and ETL/ELT best practices.

About the Role

As an Azure Technical Support Engineer focused on production environments, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of cloud-based solutions running on Microsoft Azure. You will act as a key point of contact for resolving technical issues in live environments, collaborating closely with development, operations, and architecture teams to maintain seamless business operations. Your expertise in troubleshooting Azure services and your proactive approach will help minimize downtime and improve the overall health of production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Write efficient and maintainable T-SQL queries and scripts for data transformation and analytics.
• Implement and maintain data integration and data warehousing solutions in Azure.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to meet data requirements.
• Monitor and support production data workflows, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Utilize Azure services such as Logic Apps, Cosmos DB, and Azure Functions to automate and enhance data processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to best practices in data engineering and cloud security.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Certification or hands-on expertise with Databricks on Azure.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Proficient in T-SQL and relational database concepts.
• Solid understanding of cloud data architecture and ETL/ELT best practices.

Desired Skills

• Experience providing production support for data pipelines and cloud data services.
• Knowledge of Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation.
• Hands-on experience with Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Azure Functions for serverless compute integration.
