Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of working experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills, great communication, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Having worked for a StartUp, or Saas is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review license, support, subscription, and services contracts in negotiation and establish the related revenue recognition in accordance with internal policy, and US GAAP.
• Establish proper revenue recognition, accounting treatment, and Technical Accounting of Software, Hardware, Subscription (SaaS), and Hosting and Consulting Services documents.
• Transaction review with a focus on the analysis of non-standard Multiple Element Arrangements in accordance with current Accounting Standards Codifications and Revenue Recognition principles.
• Collaborate with account executives and product managers to improve sales opportunities for add-ons, renewals, and new sales.
• Prepare end-month audit packs of executed transactions for review and assist with internal or external audit queries on revenue recognition.
• Working knowledge of software revenue recognition literature including Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606, IFRS, and other related revenue recognition accounting literature.
• Advised and trained colleagues on the appropriate rules for Revenue Recognition.
• Process timely invoices and perform month-end account reconciliations.
• Resolve revenue-related issues and follow up on outstanding items.
• Assist in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Review and recommend improvements to current revenue recognition strategies.
• Oversee revenue analysis and management functions on a daily basis.
• Prepare documentation of all revenue-related activities as per company procedures.
• Working with deferred revenue, churn, renewals, annual recurring booking, and revenue including managing a full book of business and creating board materials as required.
• Assisting ERP implementation.
