We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Analyst with a strong emphasis on Master Data Management and Data Analytics. This role will leverage logistics and supply chain operations data to drive strategic decisions, optimize performance, and create efficiencies across domestic and international transportation networks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in tools such as Power BI, Advanced Excel, SQL, Copilot, and AI technologies, and will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze transportation and logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
- Develop and maintain master data related to carriers, routes, freight costs, and performance metrics.
- Build and automate dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight spend, damage claims, and carrier utilization.
- Use SQL and other data tools to extract, clean, and model logistics data for advanced analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions that improve transportation planning, route optimization, and carrier performance.
- Support carrier selection, negotiations, and contract management with insights from historical and predictive data.
- Lead freight audit and payment analysis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Provide data-driven insights for transportation budget forecasting and strategic planning.
- Stay current with transportation regulations, compliance issues, and industry trends affecting freight movement.
- Champion the use of AI and Copilot tools to streamline logistics processes and enhance decision-making.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation logistics, freight analytics, or supply chain data analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
- Experience with TMS systems such as Oracle, SAP, MercuryGate, or similar.
- Strong understanding of domestic and international transportation modes and regulations.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred:
- Experience working with 3PLs, freight brokers, and/or international freight forwarders.
- Familiarity with freight audit/payment systems and practices.
- Certifications in data analytics, supply chain (e.g., CTL, CLTD), Six Sigma, or PMP.
- Experience with AI tools and Microsoft Copilot in logistics or supply chain contexts.
