Senior Data QA Engineer - LATAM

Responsibilities

• Ensure that data is reliable for data consumers.
• Lead the design and implementation of data test strategies and plans.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on data quality.
• Debug data quality issues, identify the root cause, and provide solutions to data engineers.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using dbt and Python data quality libraries.
• Drive the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement in QA processes.
• Subject matter expert in assigned projects that involve financial information.
• Promote best practices for data quality across team members.

Technology Stack

• Python and SQL (including Snowflake and Postgres).
• dbt to create data models, understand data transformations, implement data tests, and identify data quality issues.
• Strong knowledge in AWS: S3, DynamoDB, Glue, and Lambda.
• Strong knowledge of AWS CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience with Copilot Studio is a plus for implementing data tests and reducing manual tasks to expedite data quality reports.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow to understand data ETL workflows.
• Familiarity with source / version control tools, such as Git.
