About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Global Security & Resilience, independently manage the day-to-day retail asset protection operations for all stores in Mexico, including loss prevention, fraud, health and safety, crisis response, and business continuity.
- Collaborate with Retail Operations, Digital, Information Security, Legal, HR, Finance, Global Audit, and other teams to ensure alignment of programs and processes and compliance with relevant policies.
- Develop plans and strategies that support the achievement of inventory shrink targets as well as the improvement of internal and external safety and loss prevention compliance metrics.
- Manage all retail investigation programs and processes at the strategic and operational level, including fraud (in store and digital), theft, organized retail crime (ORC), workplace violence, and safety investigations.
- Conduct or direct retail investigations, including interviews and analysis related to exception-based reporting, shrink, workplace violence, internal and external theft, and root causes for safety incidents.
- Analyze incident and transaction data to identify trends, margin erosion, control gaps, and root causes; develop and implement corrective action plans to address issues systematically and at scale.
- Manage all third-party vendor relationships to ensure consistent execution, results, and financial discipline, including outsourced LP investigators, security systems integrators, and video management, commercial alarm, electronic article surveillance (EAS), RFID, and point-of-sale solutions providers.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of retail asset protection analytics and performance scorecards that clearly define success and measure results.
- Drive the development of both strategic programs and tactical plans aligned with asset protection and business strategy.
- Drive innovation across all stores using a deep understanding of how asset Protectuion works within the organization and throughout the industry.
- Keep pace with change and maintain a competitive advantage within the marketplace by seeking out and learning about changes in the industry.
- Negotiate effectively for the organization with internal and external stakeholders and build relationships with key individuals necessary for collaboration.
- Develop and present training and communication to operations and leadership teams, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level for the audience.
- Actively participate in industry groups and networking, such as RILA and NRF, to benchmark, stay informed of trends, and positively influence the retail asset protection profession.
- Contribute expertise to the work of the company's global direct-to-consumer (DTC) center of excellence to support scaling internal retail asset protection best practices globally.
- Support internal audit, ethics and compliance, data privacy, and information security initiatives as required.
