Overview
Responsible for leading, maintenanceand supervise industrial painting processes on metal parts and structures, ensuring compliance with quality standards, production timelines, environmental regulations, and safety protocols, in order to deliver an optimal and durable finish that meets customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize painting processes (electrostatic, liquid, powder coating, etc.).
- Maximizing efficiencies while ensuring quality
- Optimizing paint change over process
- Establish systems for paint line (cleaning requirements, instructions, error proofing)
- Documentation development (Customer requirements, Control plan)
- Lead problem solving activities in relation to the painting process and application
- Ability to adjust/program/troubleshoot system
- Work with production department on production control and planning requirements
- Lead for customer issues regarding paint application (color matching, orange peel, etc.)
- Lead for developing the PM schedule
- Develop paint system continuous improvement activities
- Evaluate accuracy of production and testing equipment
- Study and rearrange material flow, and operations sequence
- Responsible for monitoring and ensure the closure of corrective actions and non-conformities of SGC of their own area.
- Evaluate effects of product design changes
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- Experienced in Time / Methods Study techniques.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) spoke a 90%.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering field; Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering degree preferred
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
