The Orthopedics Business Unit Manager is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of products, business models, and solutions, with Service & Capital Placement as key components of our offering. The role drives strategies and action plans according to the Business Planning Process and actively engages the full JJMT organization in execution.
This position reports directly to the Cluster General Manager and is a member of the Cluster Leadership Team (CLT).
Manage a diverse organization (Sales, Marketing, and Operations) with 20+ employees, including 5 direct reports (managers, supervisors, and individual contributors).
Oversee a portfolio with P&L responsibility for sales and profitability, managing financials in partnership with the Finance Director.
Generate strategic and tactical input to country franchise and functional leadership areas, aligned with regional and global strategies.
Develop and execute local (cluster) commercial access and development strategies, including Franchise, Medical Affairs, Health Economics, Regulatory, and Strategic Account Management.
Build strong talent pipelines: coach, challenge, and encourage the franchise leadership team to attract, develop, and retain best-in-class talent.
Foster an environment where diverse perspectives shape business plans and execution.
Ensure a Health Care Compliance culture through exemplary leadership (“Tone at the Top and Action in Middle”).
Broad knowledge of the healthcare industry and core medical areas.
Deep expertise and proven track record in Sales, Marketing, Commercial Execution, and Talent Management.
Demonstrated success in delivering business results within a matrix structure.
Ability to promote and sustain a culture that challenges the status quo, drives significant and positive change, and guides through meaningful conversations.
Strong financial acumen with proven P&L management experience.
Experience inspiring and mobilizing organizations during periods of change, uncertainty, and ambiguity.
Proven success in talent development and organizational alignment around a compelling vision.
Strong external representation and advocacy skills for J&J in the marketplace.
Knowledge of socio-economic, environmental, and market dynamics in Mexico and LATAM, with strong customer and external orientation.
Prior experience establishing and implementing effective pricing models and strategies in the institutional market.

Lead with transparency and influence across complex matrix organizations and external partners.
