Job Title: Operations Manager (Part-Time)

Lago is looking for a Part-Time Operations Manager to support and manage day-to-day business operations for our growing networking and events-focused business. This role is ideal for someone with prior management experience who is highly detail-oriented, understands how individual tasks connect to larger operational goals, and communicates clearly and proactively.
The Operations Manager will take ownership of existing systems, manage team members, coordinate with external stakeholders, and ensure recurring events and operational workflows run smoothly. This is a long-term opportunity with the intention to scale into a full-time role as the business grows.
Schedule & Working Hours
- Availability required: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM EST
Bonus availability: Wednesdays, 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM EST
Initial workload: 20 hours per week, with expectation to increase over time
Long-term intent: Grow into a full-time role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee other team members on a daily basis.
- Review team members’ work, provide feedback, and ensure accountability.
- Maintain and update internal trackers and operational documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with venues, sponsors, photographers, and other external stakeholders.
- Make frequent outbound phone calls on behalf of the company.
- Ensure recurring networking events are executed smoothly and consistently.
- Learn and optimize existing operational systems and workflows.
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities within operations.
- Take increasing ownership of operations as the business expands into new verticals.
Qualifications
- Proven past management experience (required).
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to understand and manage big-picture business operations.
- Clear, responsive, and professional communicator (written and verbal).
- Comfortable making frequent phone calls and acting as a representative of the company.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
