Job Overview

Analyzes blueprints, sketches, and models and fabricates new molds. Conditions, modifies, and repairs molds, gauges, and fixtures to meet specified requirements.

Job Requirements

• Interpreting blueprints, determining machine operations, and sequencing based on the metal shape, size, and specifications.
• Inspecting mold quality, wear, damage, and verifying parts' alignment, dimensions, and clearance after repairs.
• Assisting with production process issues, machine settings, and suggesting solutions using alternative materials or methods.
• Supporting engineers to reduce fabrication costs by recommending design and technique improvements for better quality and efficiency.

Background Requirements

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience. High school diploma required; vocational training or AA degree preferred.
