A manufacturing company in Apodaca, Nuevo León is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the introduction of CNC processing. Responsibilities include developing manufacturing processes, analyzing workflows, and providing floor support for troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a minimum of 5 years in the field. Competitive salary and benefits provided.

Formación

  • Participation in new product launches or line transfer projects.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, revise and document manufacturing processes to meet goals.
  • Provide floor support to troubleshoot process problems.
  • Analyze workflow, time studies, and workstation layouts.

Conocimientos

Strong understanding of assembly, metal fabrication, or similar processes
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
Proficiency in time and motion studies, line balancing, and ergonomics
Experience preparing technical documentation
Understanding of PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, Excel
CNC programming and aluminum extrusion experience

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the introduction of CNC processing at the Monterrey, Mexico site. We plan to purchase a new CNC router that will manufacture aluminum frame components for our new product, Rockwell Unscripted, wall sections. The ME will also support existing processes such as metal cutting, stamping, and other processes used to manufacture existing Dividends and Antenna products.

Essential Functions
  • Develop, revise and document manufacturing processes to meet cost, quality, scrap, labor and safety goals.
  • Provides floor support to troubleshoot process problems.
  • Analyze workflow, time studies, and workstation layouts to improve productivity.
  • Assures utilization of appropriate documentation and visual aids (standardized work, combination tables, etc.).
  • Collaboration with product development throughout the design cycle.
  • Develop detailed product specifications, drawings, BOMs, and work with tooling as needed.
  • Build and test prototypes of new products.
  • Coordinates with Quality, Safety, and Production to assure process capability.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and define corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop process checks/controls and trigger responses to deviations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support customer visits as needed.
  • Provide project planning and coordination among support groups for capital/tooling improvements and lean initiatives.
  • Piece part costing at different project stages and detailed expense tracking.
  • Assists in program launches and ensures process capability before launch.
  • Maintains and improves process integrity post-launch through checks/controls.
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of assembly, metal fabrication, or similar processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Proficiency in time and motion studies, line balancing, and ergonomics.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation (work instructions, control plans, process sheets).
  • Understanding of PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T tolerances.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, Excel (advanced), Power BI, and SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Broader software proficiency, ergonomic/time studies, documentation.
  • CNC programming and aluminum extrusion experience.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.
  • Lean experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced English level required (written and spoken).
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Experience in production line optimization, scrap reduction, and cost improvement.
  • Participation in new product launches or line transfer projects.
  • Automotive, metal‑mechanical, or furniture manufacturing is a plus.
  • CNC‑specific and capital equipment experience.
