Operations Director (Packaging / Lean Manufacturing)

A major opportunity for an Operations leader to step into a regional role with a global manufacturer known for delivering engineered packaging solutions, innovation and continuous improvement across its network.
This position supports some of the largest and most demanding industrial, automotive and electronics companies worldwide, with a strong footprint across the Americas.
The role is ideal for someone on an upward trajectory who is ready to take ownership of multi‑site manufacturing operations, strengthen leadership capability across plants and drive a culture of care, clarity and hands‑on operational excellence.

Overview

Lead operations across multiple sites in Mexico, ensuring the right structure, behaviors and processes are in place to deliver sustainable results. Work closely with site leaders, engineering and regional management to build capability on the shop floor, strengthen cross‑functional collaboration and accelerate operational maturity. The opportunity is suited to a proven operations leader with a background in packaging, manufacturing or other process‑driven industries. Strong Lean experience is essential, alongside the ability to communicate with clarity, develop teams and lead from the front in fast‑changing environments. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multi‑site operations across Mexico within a growing manufacturing network.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives with a strong emphasis on hands‑on coaching.
• Strengthen safety, quality and productivity performance across plants.
• Develop and support site managers, building a culture of accountability, care and clear communication.
• Influence operational strategy, investment decisions and capability development.
• Support site expansions, process improvements and long‑term operational planning.

Qualifications

• Experienced Operations Director or Senior Operations Manager.
• Background in packaging, manufacturing or industrial process environments.
• Strong Lean and continuous improvement experience with real on‑the‑floor credibility.
• Proven ability to develop leaders and build high‑performing teams.
• Multi‑site leadership experience within Mexico is highly desirable.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Clear communicator who can balance strategic thinking with practical, hands‑on leadership.
