Overview
The Manager, Information Technology will oversee and manage the company's information technology operations, ensuring that IT infrastructure and services are aligned with business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation and operational efficiency within the IT department. You will lead and develop a diverse IT team across project management, product ownership, support, and technical roles, focusing on successfully executing IT initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and supporting the team through technological changes and challenges. You will ensure continuous team growth and maintain alignment with the organization’s goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaboration with IT Teams and Senior Management: Work to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of IT components and align IT strategies with business objectives and goals.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement: Encourage the team to stay updated on the latest trends and tools in IT, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business needs.
- Culture Driver: Foster a positive and innovative IT culture that aligns with organizational values, promotes continuous learning, and encourages collaboration across teams and departments.
- Effective Communication with Stakeholders: Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Execution Focus: Emphasize day-to-day product management tasks and delivery, ensuring that goals and timelines are met.
- Operational Efficiency Management: Ensure that processes are followed and issues are resolved to meet stated SLAs, driving continuous operational improvements.
- Performance Management: Implement and utilize the enterprise-wide performance management system to set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct timely performance reviews for team members, fostering a supportive environment for individual growth and team success.
- Project Execution and Methodology: Apply Agile and Waterfall approaches to balance flexible, iterative development with structured planning and documentation, and implement scrum practices for adaptable delivery with clear milestones and reporting.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks within IT projects and operations, implementing basic mitigation strategies to minimize impact on team deliverables.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
- Team Support and Development: Directly manage a team of subject matter experts, supporting their development and acting as a technical resource to resolve complex issues.
- Technical Leadership and Guidance: Provide hands-on guidance to the team, ensuring best practices are followed and maintaining technical excellence.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant experience.
Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant and practical experience, preferably in IT management or a related role, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
