Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist — Hospitality & Events (Remote, USA)

Operating in the hospitality, luxury resort and destination events sector, this organization delivers immersive guest experiences, large-scale event production, and service excellence across resort properties in the United States. The role supports distributed property and remote teams by building scalable learning solutions that raise operational standards, drive guest satisfaction, and accelerate employee readiness.

About The Role

We are seeking a hands‑on Learning & Development Specialist to design, deliver, and measure blended learning programs for frontline and corporate teams. This remote position partners with operations, talent, and event leads to translate business priorities into practical training that improves service, safety, and sales performance.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Design and develop blended learning programs (eLearning, VILT, microlearning) for onboarding, service excellence, safety, and event operations.
  • Create interactive eLearning modules and assets using Articulate Storyline/authoring best practices and publish SCORM/xAPI-compliant packages.
  • Manage LMS content lifecycle: upload courses, enroll learners, configure learning paths, and maintain compliance records.
  • Deliver and facilitate Virtual Instructor‑Led Training (VILT) sessions and coordinate schedules with multi‑site operations teams.
  • Partner with managers to perform training needs analysis and prioritize learning initiatives tied to KPIs (guest satisfaction, speed‑to‑proficiency, incident reduction).
  • Measure program effectiveness using learning analytics and feedback; iterate content to improve completion, retention, and on‑the‑job impact.
