Overview

The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences aligned with the International Baccalaureate philosophy and standards. The IB Teacher fosters inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and intercultural understanding, preparing students to become knowledgeable, reflective, and responsible global citizens. The role includes supporting students’ academic growth, personal development, and commitment to the IB Learner Profile while ensuring the implementation of the program’s curriculum framework with fidelity and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in alignment with IB curriculum frameworks (PYP, MYP, or DP).
  • Foster inquiry-based learning that encourages curiosity, independence, and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrate the IB Learner Profile into teaching practices to support holistic student development.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress using IB assessment criteria and rubrics.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
  • Incorporate technology and modern teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary projects and encourage connections between subjects.
  • Guide students in research projects, extended essays, or personal projects (depending on IB program).
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and learning goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with IB standards and school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in IB training, professional development, and accreditation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, academic integrity, and IB standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject-related field (Master’s preferred).
  • IB teaching certification or proven experience in IB programs (PYP, MYP, DP).
  • Proficiency in English (and additional languages desirable).
Experience
  • Previous teaching experience in international or inquiry-based education preferred.
