This position works out of our Mexico City location in the Nutritional Division. Our nutrition business develops science‑based nutrition products for people of all ages from helping babies and children grow to keeping adults bodies strong and active. We are looking for the Head of eCommerce in Mexico to lead and accelerate our digital commerce strategy. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of financials, eCommerce and omnichannel retail with experience working across pure players (Amazon, Mercado Libre), brick‑and‑click retailers (Walmart, Liverpool) and last‑milers (Rappi, Cornershop, Jokr, etc.).
The Head of eCommerce is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive digital strategies to drive near and long‑term sales growth. This role oversees all aspects of the e‑commerce business from strategic planning to daily operations while fostering innovation and cross‑functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record of scaling e‑commerce businesses, delivering exceptional digital customer experiences and driving performance through data‑driven decisioning. Leading a team and ensuring strong collaboration with marketing, finance, logistics and sales to integrate e‑commerce into the overall company operations will be a core task.
What You’ll Do
1. Strategy and Commercial Planning
- Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive e‑commerce strategy for Mexico ensuring accelerated growth across all digital channels.
- Align e‑commerce initiatives with overall business goals and drive digital transformation within the organization.
- Identify new opportunities in marketplaces, direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) and quick commerce platforms.
- Commercial & Financial Management
- Own the P&L for the e‑commerce channel ensuring profitability and sustainable long‑term growth.
- Analyze key financial metrics, market trends and performance data to optimize pricing, promotions and investment strategies.
- Work closely with finance to develop accurate sales forecasts and financial models.
- Retail Marketplace & Last‑Mile Partnerships
- Lead commercial relationships with Amazon, Mercado Libre, Walmart, Liverpool and other key retailers.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with last‑milers like Rappi, Cornershop and Jokr, optimizing digital shelf visibility, pricing and promotional strategies.
- Implement best practices in assortment, pricing, promotions and fulfillment to maximize performance across all e‑commerce platforms.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Logistics and Sales teams to integrate e‑commerce into the company’s way of working.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives including performance marketing, SEO, CRM and conversion rate optimization.
- Protect Digital Shelf
- Ensure seamless operations by collaborating with supply chain and logistics teams to enhance fulfillment capabilities, including same‑day and express delivery services.
2. Digital Shelf Management & Optimization
- Monitor and optimize digital shelf performance across key e‑commerce platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.).
- Ensure best‑in‑class product content discoverability (SEO) and conversion optimization.
- Leverage competitive benchmarking and share‑of‑search analysis to identify growth opportunities.
3. Data‑Driven Strategic Decision‑Making
- Utilize digital shelf analytics (content scorecards, availability, pricing reviews, etc.) to refine e‑commerce strategies.
- Integrate first‑party and third‑party data sources to assess customer behavior and market trends.
- Define KPIs and implement dashboards to track and report e‑commerce performance.
4. Retail Media & Performance Marketing
- Understand digital shelf insights to correlate retail media investments.
- Optimize retail media (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, etc.) based on performance data and category trends.
- Develop attribution models to measure media effectiveness and ROI.
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Innovation
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure digital shelf readiness.
- Drive e‑commerce innovation through A/B testing, personalization and new technology adoption.
- Work closely with retailer partners to maximize omnichannel opportunities.
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Build and lead a high‑performing e‑commerce team fostering a culture of agility and innovation.
- Develop internal talent and ensure strong execution of digital commerce initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in e‑commerce, digital marketing or commercial roles.
- Experience in e‑commerce strategy, digital shelf analytics and online retail operations.
- Strong understanding of retail media platforms and performance marketing metrics.
- Ability to turn data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth.
- Experience managing cross‑functional teams and working with key e‑commerce partners.
- Proven experience managing pure players such as Amazon, Mercado Libre; brick‑and‑click retailers such as Walmart, Liverpool; and last‑milers such as Rappi, Cornershop, Jokr, etc.
- Strong understanding of P&L management, business planning and financial performance drivers.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams and working in a matrix organization.
- Deep knowledge of digital marketing, marketplace dynamics and quick commerce models.
- Strong negotiation, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
