The opportunity

The SC YPP is designed to build well-rounded supply chain professionals who can thrive in a global business environment. You will work closely with global supply chain leadership teams and business units and contribute to real projects that drive efficiency and innovation. You will gain hands-on experience and rotate through different Nutreco locations over 18 months, learning from experts in sustainability, procurement, quality, manufacturing, logistics, planning and engineering. Through structured academy weeks, mentorship, and international exposure, you will develop skills needed to take on future roles within our supply chain.

What we’re looking for
  • Professional experience and passion: You have completed a master’s degree and have a genuine interest in end-to-end supply chain, with the analytical and problem-solving skills to thrive in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Language: Good proficiency of business English and local language.
  • Global mobility and adaptability: Must be fully internationally mobile and ready for two global rotations. Candidates must hold permanent residency with a home country passport; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Proactive learners: Enjoy mastering complex concepts and applying learnings in practical ways to make an impact.
  • Creative problem solvers: Ability to approach challenges creatively, thinking outside the box to find the best solutions.

Young Professional Program description

We offer an 18-month program, split into three six-month rotations in three different countries and three different supply chain areas. The program helps you develop personally and professionally by understanding end-to-end supply chain processes and interdependencies. You will gain industry-specific knowledge and leverage the experience of experts in our locations and Opcos.

Local hiring company - home location

You will spend the first six months at your home location gaining on-the-job experience with a real-life job, learning key supply chain processes, systems, products and services, and data flows. You will also begin to develop your personal network in a collaborative environment.

Plant and Opco locations

After the first six months, you will spend several months in international plants and locations to gain additional perspectives and understand day-to-day operational and strategic challenges. You may identify potential improvements to support ongoing optimisation.

YPP Academy Weeks

Each rotation starts with a Skills Development Academy week focused on job-specific learning and personal development. You will meet fellow global Young Professionals and benefit from trainings and events.

Throughout the program you will work as part of the Supply Chain team on a challenging role, global project, operational tasks and training courses. This mix of on-the-job work, projects, training and international exposure provides a solid head start for your career.
