  • Independently manage month‑end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with high attention to detail and accountability
  • Communicate effectively with Mexican clients in Spanish and U.S. clients in English to maintain strong business relationships
  • Collaborate with junior accountant to optimize workflow distribution and provide backup coverage during planned absences
  • Cross‑train across various finance functions to enhance team flexibility and operational continuity
Requirements
  • Spanish fluency required to support bilingual communication with clients in Mexico and the U.S.
  • Proven ability to independently manage month‑end close processes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial reconciliations, including bank, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Ability to proactively identify, document, and communicate financial discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with desktop‑based ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics GP Desktop.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions, and reconciliation workflows.
  • Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
  • Dual‑monitor workspace preferred, or willingness to set one up.
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • Preference for long‑term, stable contract roles rather than short‑term freelance engagements.
