A global packaging and paper company in Mexico is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the plant controller and staff. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, along with 2 years of accounting or finance experience. Under the day to day supervision of the Site Controller the Finance Assistant is part of a training effort designed to provide a structured yet flexible environment in which the Associate is exposed to all aspects of the Container business via formal courses multi-site on-the-job training special projects and one-on-one feedback Finance Assistant is generally one of two salaried financial personnel at the manufacturing site.
While actively engaged in developing the skills needed to successfully transition to a position of increasing responsibility the Finance Specialist will support the plant controllerand staff. Primary areas of focus include internal controls (safeguarding company assets); preparing financial statements in conformity with professional regulatory and company procedures; supplying timely and meaningful analytic data that measures business results and provides useful insights to management; identifying opportunities and recommending solutions to business problems; and supervising training and developing best practices in the accounting staff.
