About the Role
After a comprehensive training program, this role will be responsible for supporting our customers across Mexico and Americas. Role responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Install, configure, and commission flexographic and digital printing systems, including electrical control panels, drive systems, and print inspection technologies.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and automation issues, performing detailed troubleshooting of PLCs, sensors, motion controls, and related subsystems.
- Execute preventive maintenance, calibration, and electrical safety checks to maintain optimal system reliability.
- Perform software and hardware upgrades, ensuring full validation of system performance and compliance with customer specifications.
- Deliver technical training to customer operators and maintenance personnel, focusing on electrical operation, control systems, and best maintenance practices.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to implement improvements, share field insights, and represent Hapa with professionalism and technical excellence at customer sites.
- Travel extensively (up to 80%) across Mexico and internationally to support installation, service, and customer projects.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in industrial automation with an emphasis on electrical systems, robotics, or packaging machinery and a solid understanding of system integration and troubleshooting.
- Strong command of electrical engineering principles, including control system design, PLC programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, or similar), motion control, sensors, and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc.).
- Working knowledge of IT systems and network interfaces as applied to industrial automation environments.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into clear solutions.
- Self‑driven and adaptable, able to work independently and manage priorities in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.
- Valid passport and travel documentation, with willingness to travel frequently both domestically and internationally.
