About the role

The Tech Service Engineer will provide and coordinate technical support for DF&H customers in the MCCA region and internal functions of JBT, in the same way manage tests with customers.

Perform process audits for clients and generate documentation of the work performed.

Provide process technical training to customers and internal staff when required.

Lead development and testing projects when assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to all DF&H customers in the MCCA region under the supervision of the technical support supervisor.
  • Give solutions in a reasonable time to customers with process problems.
  • Provide technical support to customers of fruits and vegetables as well as citrus in recovery of high quality primary juice with high yields under the industrial parameters of juice quality (Oil in juice, sedimented pulp, Limonene).
  • Give technical support to dairy clients under audits to obtain the best thermal processes, CIP process, UHT process and aseptic packaging.
  • Provide technical support in secondary products such as pulp washing recovery, high density pulp recovery, cold pressed oil (CPO) and D‑Limonene.
  • Provide technical support to beverage clients under process audits for better performance in mixing with A&B technology.
  • Make frequent visits with clients in the region and share reports of each visit. Perform audits of customer process operations and systems, documenting results and observations.
  • Discuss the results of the audits internally with the JBT team to generate solutions to increase efficiency in customer processes.
  • Work with service managers in each product line to meet the objectives of the Customer Success Plan CSP's.
  • Coordinate the training required by clients during the season.
  • Support in pilot plant and laboratory when it is necessary, spacialy during monthly test and customer demonstrations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably Food engineer or Biotechnology.
  • Master in Food Science desired.
  • Mandatory: Experience in the Fruit and Vegetable processing industry.
  • Experience in the dairy process industry.
  • Good written and oral communication, Knowledge of writing reports in Journal of Food Science format.
  • High knowledge and use of statistical tools and MS Office.
  • Desired: Experience in managing client relationships.
  • Experience in the Beverage industry.
  • Knowledge of different equipment for food processing.
