The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of backend development experience, particularly in Golang and solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD. Impact on our ecosystem

As an Engineering Lead at Rappi, you will be responsible for designing and leading the teams and systems that power our innovative platform. You will leverage your expertise in Golang, asynchronicity, Kafka, SQS, as well as monitoring tools like New Relic or Splunk to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Your responsibilities include:

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Reliability and performance improvements discovery, prioritization and implementation
• Review and refinement of technical aspects of business development proposals
• Leading the team in implementing engineering best practices
• Keeping the team members challenged and motivated
• Guiding the team in backlog grooming
• Preparing and performing sprint releases
• Maintaining on-call support schedule
• Team microservice's internal architectural decisions
• Collaborating with other EL/EM on the design of solutions spanning multiple teams
• Team metrics weekly reporting

Requirements

• +4 years of backend development (ideally with GO)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs
• Microservices

• Experience with caching like Redis
• Experience with ESP (Event Streaming Platforms) like Apache Kafka
• Good knowledge on different database engines like MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc
