Overview

The Chassis Design Release Engineer is responsible for leading and executing the design and development of braking, steering systems, chassis structure, brake interface, CVA and pedals for automotive vehicles. This role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety, performance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of braking systems: Conceptualize, design and develop braking systems, including discs, pads, calipers, anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and stability control systems (ESC).
• Perform engineering analysis to ensure optimal performance and safety of braking systems under various operating and environmental conditions.
• Design and development of steering systems: Lead the design and development of steering systems, including components such as the steering box, steering column, tie rods, and power steering mechanisms.
• Perform tests and simulations to evaluate the structural integrity and functionality of steering systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, aerospace or related).
• 3 to 8 years of experience in the design area chassis (automotive).
• Advanced conversational English
• CAD Software proficiency (Nx, CATIA, Creo)
