The CPFR / Demand Manager in Mexico is responsible for leading the collaborative planning and demand forecasting process through the distributor across different channels, ensuring the forecast is accurate, aligned, and supported by key internal stakeholders.
This role acts as the strategic connection point between the distributor and the company, integrating demand signals, commercial plans, product availability, and market strategy to optimize business performance, service levels, and data-driven decision making.
Demand Planning & Forecast Accuracy
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and accuracy of the distributor forecast across customers and channels.
- Identify trends, seasonality patterns, risks, and opportunities impacting demand.
- Analyze forecast deviations and proactively recommend corrective actions.
Governance, Alignment Forums & S&OP
- Coordinate, lead, and actively participate in demand alignment forums, including:
- Demand Review meetings
- Performance tracking meetings
- Critical operation issue reviews
- Play a key role in the S&OP / IBP process, participating in Demand Review, Pre-S&OP, consensus meetings, and alignment of commercial and operational plans.
Analytics, Tools & KPIs
- Develop and maintain analytical tools, reports, and models to monitor:
- Demand, sales, and inventory performance
- Inventory coverage and supply risk exposure
- Forecast Accuracy (FA), Forecast Reliability (FR), Bias
- OTIF, WMAPE
- Obsolete and slow-moving inventory (donations and destructions)
- Drive report automation and dashboard development to enable timely and effective decision making.
Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Act as a strategic business partner to key functions including Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance.
- Deliver actionable insights that support commercial and operational decisions.
- Influence prioritization of initiatives considering supply constraints, import lead times, and operational capabilities.
Distributor Collaboration
- Foster a collaborative, transparent, and results-oriented relationship between the distributor and the company.
- Enable effective communication across both organizations to ensure alignment on objectives, plans, and execution.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the CPFR process.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience & Required Capabilities
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain (required), with background in:
- CPFR
- Demand Planning
- Supply Planning
- Experience working with distributor-based business models and customer collaboration.
- Strong analytical profile, with proven ability to:
- Analyze trends, seasonality, and demand variability
- Incorporate import lead times and supply constraints into planning assumptions
- Solid knowledge of key supply chain KPIs: FA, FR, Bias, OTIF, WMAPE, Inventory Coverage.
- Experience developing tools and automating reports using:
- Advanced Excel
- Power BI
- SAP
- Planning systems such as Jarvis, Relex, or similar
- Hands‑on experience with S&OP / IBP processes.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Experience in project management, including CPFR process implementation from scratch and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision‑making, negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, and align teams with competing priorities.
