The Data Architect will lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-grade data architecture for a strategic initiative. This role ensures scalable, secure, high-performing data solutions that support advanced analytics and business insights across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data architecture aligned with enterprise standards.
- Develop logical and physical data models, data flow diagrams, and architecture artifacts.
- Ensure complete data lineage, traceability, and transparency across systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and architects.
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
- Define metadata management, data cataloging, and data quality standards.
- Recommend tools and frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Promote use of Azure analytics services, Databricks, and BI tools.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency for large data workloads.
- Create and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and modeling standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in data and analytics with proven experience as a Data Architect on large-scale projects.
- Strong expertise in:
- Data integration, modeling, and architectural principles.
- Data Mesh, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures.
- Spark, SQL, Python, ingestion pipelines, metadata management.
- Azure (ADF), Databricks, and BI tools (Power BI).
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, ERP, or supply chain (SAP preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- Preferred Certifications: Azure Data Engineer / Azure Data Architect.
