Responsibilities
The Opportunity

The role is primarily to act as an internal consultant, driving continuous improvement and efficiency across the entire financial planning function landscape. This role ensures that financial processes are standardized, streamlined, and leverage the latest technology to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights across various markets and business units. The Process Excellence Analyst focuses on optimizing the how and what of financial planning, moving beyond just reporting the numbers.

Your Impact

As Process Excellence FP Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:

  • Process Optimization and Re-engineering: Identify Inefficiencies: Map out current, end-to-end financial processes (e.g., Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasting, month-end close, performance reporting) to identify bottlenecks, non-value-added steps, and opportunities for simplification.
  • Implement Methodologies: Apply continuous improvement methodologies like Lean (minimizing waste) and Six Sigma (reducing variability/defects) to redesign and re-engineer critical financial workflows.
  • Standardization: Drive the standardization of financial processes, reports, and ways of working (WoW) across different countries, regions, or business units to ensure consistency and facilitate global comparisons.
  • Digitalization and Automation: Technology Enablement: Select, test, and implement financial systems and tools (Financial Planning Models in excel, Power BI Dashboards, Python, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Macros etc).
  • Hyper-Automation: Identify tasks ripe for automation, particularly in repetitive areas like data collection, report generation, and reconciliations, leveraging technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Gen AI.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain and monitor data linkages, master data mappings, and system logic to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data flowing between various systems.
  • Analytics and Insight Generation: Process Analytics: Leverage on advanced tools like Process Mining (e.g., Celonis) to analyze event logs from financial systems, providing data-driven insights into process performance and variation.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for financial processes (e.g., cycle time, accuracy rate, cost per transaction) to measure the success of excellence initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Storytelling: Present data-driven findings and proposed solutions to senior leadership and cross-functional partners using compelling visual representations and clear business cases.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?

Education: Industrial Engineering, Finance or Accounting, Economics, Business Administration.

Experience: Business Process Improvement/Re-engineering, Management Consulting (Finance transformation projects), Finance, Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Services environment is a strong plus.

Technical & Systems Skills
  • Process Methodology: Lean (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen) and Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies.
  • Financial Systems: Advanced knowledge and hands‑on experience with major ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., SAP FI/CO, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), or TM1/Cognos).
  • Data Analytics: Proficiency in SQL (to query large datasets), advanced Microsoft Excel (including Power Query/VBA), and strong experience with Data Visualization/BI tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).
  • Automation: Exposure to or direct experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and Power Automation, Power Apps, Python.
