A leading food and confectionery company is seeking a Commercial Finance Sr. Manager to drive profitable growth by managing pricing strategies and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial planning, and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in financial modeling and a solid grasp of trade systems and SAP are essential for success in this role based in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Overview

Position Title: Commercial Finance Sr. Manager (Gerente Senior de Finanzas Comerciales) (Revenue Growth Manager) (Gerente de Estrategia de Precios / Pricing Manager)

Location: Guadalajara Jalisco (Corporate Office)

Summary

Partner and key contact for Sales and Marketing groups to jointly drive profitable growth in channels and brands. Provide financial analysis, planning, operational analysis, and related systems support. Lead pricing and promotional strategies.

Major Duties/Responsibilities
  • 25% - Lead pricing and promotional strategies, optimize trade investment and influence optimal portfolio mix
  • 25% - Partner closely with cross-functional teams in order to successfully develop and execute key initiatives
  • 15% - Provide guidance and counsel to commercial teams on plans involving strategy development, resource allocation and financial impact
  • 15% - Conduct financial evaluations of actions and initiatives by gathering assumptions, building models and analyzing results
  • 10% - Responsible for Strategic Planning process, trade pricing updates to the marketing organization, and strategic financial projects for trade and marketing decisions. Sets direction for Marketing Expenses, Trade promos, discounts and trade terms targets, budget control and analysis
  • 10% - Direct and analyze expenses, trade promos, discounts and trade terms targets, budget control and analysis
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Experienced in financial planning, business analysis and problem-solving
  • Ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and influence teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with senior management and proactively manage priorities
  • Strong with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); working knowledge of trade systems and SAP
  • Fluent English
Key Responsibilities
  • RESPONSIBLE for the areas of Pricing, SRGM, and Marketing Finance Mexico.
  • FINANCIAL REVIEW of new products (Innovation projects) and current portfolio.
  • FINANCIAL SUPPORT of Marketing and Trade Marketing Expenses.
  • FINANCIAL VIABILITY for projects CAPEX investments.
Technical Expertise
  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in Pricing, Revenue Growth Management, Marketing Finance, and Financial Planning.
  • UNDERSTANDING of statistical modeling and elasticity computations.
  • Proficiency in conducting simulations and building/automating models that support decisions with the RGM.
  • KNOWLEDGE of Market trade structures within Mexico.
  • KNOWLEDGE of US GAAP.
Growth And Strategic Skills
  • GROWTH ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and improve gross margin.
  • DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT Functional Skills - RGM; inclusive of key Enablers (People, Process and Tools) and our RGM Levers (Pricing, Trade Architecture, Trade Investment Optimization, Mix Management, and Insights-driven PPA).
Leadership and Management
  • ABILITY to drive and lead/manage cross-functional projects (lead multifunctional teams including Marketing, Sales, Trade Marketing).
  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS including experiences with business partnering; experience of working as a finance leader managing a wider finance team and supporting/acting as business to make decisions and drive execution to deliver results.
