Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the efficiency of material procurement and transport operations? Join us as a Central Material Planner / Traffic Scheduler and take charge of daily execution, strategic planning, and continuous improvement within your portfolio.

As a Central Material Planner, your accountability spans:

  • Execution Expert: Daily procurement execution for serial materials, ensuring SLA adherence and cost efficiency.
  • Risk Management Pro: Proactive alert management and risk mitigation for uninterrupted production.
  • Optimization Maven: Synchronize and optimize transport and supply plans, contributing to cost‑effective transportation.

Deliverables & Indicators:

  • Evaluate supplier/carrier performance and manage alerts effectively.
  • Optimize truck filling rates for cost-effective routes.
  • Contribute to inventory/cash management, focusing on JNI reduction.

Specific Activities:

  • Strategic Procurement: Build leveled procurement programs, synced with MRP calculations and supplier capacities.
  • Efficient Delivery: Lead plant affectations during supplier delivery constraints, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support claims resolution, fostering continuous improvement in transport organization.

Team Management & Communication:

  • Uphold the Company's code of conduct and act as a role model within the team.
  • Provide support, elevate issues, and actively participate in the Supply Chain network.
Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, transport, or supply‑chain management.

Professional Experience:

  • First experience in transport operations or material planning appreciated.

Skills and competencies:

  • SAP knowledge and especially MM, PP and TM modules appreciated.
  • Multi‑functional & Multi‑cultural communication.
  • Minimum bi‑lingual (English + one other language).
  • Customer orientation / Team spirit / Resiliency / Autonomy / Openness to new ideas.
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
