A leading financial technology firm is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive new business opportunities in a fast-paced environment. You will qualify leads, set appointments, and maintain customer records. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business or Marketing and has 1–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in financial services. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven B2B Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic sales team.

About Alpaca

Alpaca is a US-headquartered self-clearing broker‑dealer and brokerage infrastructure for stocks, ETFs, options, crypto, and fixed income. With over US$170 million in funding, we are opening financial services to everyone and building an award‑winning, developer‑friendly API.

Your Role

As a BDR, you will generate and qualify leads, set appointments, and initiate early‑stage sales. You'll thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment and contribute to rapid growth.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting (cold calling, list building, emailing, and social media outreach).
  • Qualify outbound leads to determine fit and potential as sales opportunities.
  • Schedule qualified appointments and demos for the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions in the CRM system.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and potential opportunities.
Qualifications – Must‑Haves
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of BDR experience, preferably in software or financial services sales.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Understanding of the brokerage and financial services industries.
  • FINRA Series 7 certification.
