A leading consultancy firm is seeking an experienced Account / Director of Healthcare Communications to join their healthcare advisory team in Mexico. The role involves leading client relationships and developing integrated communications strategies across the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and has a strong knowledge of the LATAM healthcare ecosystem.

Formación

Account / Director of Healthcare Communications

My client is a globally renowned consultancy that is looking to add a person to their growing healthcare advisory team in Mexico to support the LATAM operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client relationships across pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and healthcare services accounts.
  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that span media relations, reputation, corporate positioning, policy engagement, and patient advocacy.
  • Provide senior counsel to C‑suite executives on issues, market access, and reputational challenges.
  • Manage a team of consultants, fostering professional development and best‑in‑class client delivery.
  • Drive business growth through new business development, proposal leadership, and strengthening relationships across the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient and profitable project delivery.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging healthcare narratives to provide proactive recommendations.
Qualifications
  • 8‑10+ years of experience in healthcare communications, corporate affairs, or related fields, ideally in agencies across LATAM.
  • Strong knowledge of the LATAM healthcare sector, including regulatory and policy dynamics.
  • Proven ability to lead complex accounts and provide counsel at senior levels.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and media engagement skills.
  • Track record of team leadership and new business development wins.
  • Mature, driven and can mentor the team to success.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
