Wallet in Telegram is a digital asset solution natively embedded into Telegram’s interface. Backed by The Open Platform, Wallet in Telegram gained 100M+ user accounts in 2024, and aims to make its solution available to all 1BN+ of Telegram’s users. Wallet in Telegram offers a dual‑wallet experience with Crypto Wallet (a multi‑chain wallet for trading and sending crypto to contacts) and TON Wallet (a self‑custodial wallet with access to the TON ecosystem of dApps and tokens).

We’re looking for a Tech Lead to join the Onboarding & Activation team — the group driving Wallet’s mission to help millions of Telegram users take their first step into crypto. The team focuses on converting crypto‑curious users into active participants, building seamless onboarding, activation, and retention flows inside Telegram.

You’ll join a fast‑moving, high‑impact environment where new features go from idea to production in as little as two days, and small updates are shipped to millions of users in minutes. The infrastructure combines fintech‑grade reliability and SLA with startup‑level agility, giving engineers direct influence over product direction and user experience.

• Lead end‑to‑end feature development from ideation and design to production rollout — working closely with the Product Manager and a compact engineering team. Balance hands‑on technical ownership with people leadership, mentoring, and alignment on product goals.
• Actively contribute to coding, architecture design, and other hands‑on technical tasks.
• Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the wallet infrastructure to support a rapidly growing global user base.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Security, and Operations teams to deliver high‑quality features and improvements.
• Analyze and monitor system performance, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing solutions.

• Proven experience leading and managing technical teams in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment.
• Hands‑on expertise in Python, with the ability to contribute directly to product development.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or other high‑load, high‑reliability systems.
• Strong understanding of system design, performance, and security principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong focus on user experience and data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in English and Russian for effective collaboration in an international team.
• Knowledge of blockchain technologies and wallets is a plus but not required.
