Activities

We are looking for a Water Production Supervisor to oversee the operations of a highly complex water treatment facility within TotalEnergies' E&P perimeter at Tempa Rossa. The role ensures safe and reliable plant performance, supports maintenance activities, and contributes to achieving production targets.

The water treatment plant processes effluents from oil, gas, and LPG dehydration, as well as sour water from tail gas treatment, converting them into demineralized water suitable for high-pressure steam generation. The facility includes dual pre-treatment and evaporation trains, a demineralization package with anionic, cationic, and mixed bed exchangers, and a wastewater treatment unit with de-oiling and sand filtration systems. Ensuring the reliability of these systems is essential for continuous plant operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support site management giving clear information related to water mass balance of Tempa Rossa and associated forecast;
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the units associated to water treatment, and alert line manager to potential upset of the water treatment plant sections;
  • Take actions, shared with line manager, to avoid potential shortage of demineralised water produced at site Support the CCR operator to ensure efficient operation of the units, adhering to operating instructions;
  • Support the shift operators / control room operators to troubleshoot and then anticipate process variation to maintain the treated water specification and associated production flowrate;
  • Follow closely operational parameters of the water treatment plant, and intervene as per planning defined with line manager during specific upset);
  • Support site operators during shutdowns, start-ups and boil-out phases as well as regeneration (demineralized water) and de-oil water treatment;
  • Identify when the replacement of catalyst / active material is required, according to analyses results;
  • Under line manager's supervision, ensure the daily injection of the chemicals is respected as per indication given by Production Support;
  • Monitor and advise to ensure steam quality as per Steam turbine requirement. For this type of activities consult analyses results;
  • Raise the SAP notification for any corrective actions required on the water treatment perimeter associating correct priority;
  • To report immediately all anomalies and downgraded situations to line manager.
Candidate Profile
  • Education : High school or Bachelor's degree
  • Professional experience : 5 years of experience in industrial environment linked to Oil & Gas / Power Plant and 3 years in a position of water production supervision on complex water treatment facilities and / or Demin Water production plants.
  • Good knowledge of English language (speaking and writing).
  • Good knowledge of demineralisation package (anionic / cationic bed based) is a prerequisite.
  • Good knowledge of water de‑oiling and desalting is a prerequisite.
