Unity Developer VR/XR

TXT e-tech is looking for a Unity Developer specializing in VR/XR with at least 2 years' experience in developing immersive applications. The successful candidate will join the development team at a major client in the aerospace sector and will be involved in the design, development, and optimisation of immersive experiences for virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR).

Main responsibilities

• Develop VR/XR applications using Unity 3D and C#
• Implement immersive interaction mechanics (input, gestures, locomotion, VR UI)
• Optimize application performance and stability for VR/XR devices
• Integrate 3D assets, animations, audio, and shaders
• Collaborate with designers, 3D artists, and project managers
• Perform testing, debugging, and code maintenance
• Contribute to technical and architectural decision-making

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience developing with Unity
• Excellent knowledge of C#
• Proven experience in developing VR/XR applications
• Knowledge of major VR SDKs (e.g. OpenXR, Oculus SDK, SteamVR)
• Familiarity with VR devices (e.g. Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Pico)
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Experience in VR graphics and performance optimization
• Familiarity with Agile development pipelines
• Experience in gaming, simulation, training, or industrial environments
