The Department of Economics and Management (DSEA) at the University of Padua is seeking excellentcandidates for a two-year postdoctoral position (Contratto di Ricerca) in the areas of Business and Management.
Full-time, research-only position, funded through the ‘Dipartimento di Eccellenza’ project on ‘EvaluatingSustainability-related Activities’. The salary (approx. 33.600 gross per year) is comparable to similar contractsoffered by other public European universities. The Italian taxation authority offers a generous tax break nearlyoffsetting taxation for all individuals, regardless of their nationality, who were tax residents outside of Italy duringthe previous two years prior to joining. The contract does not guarantee automatic renewal. A two-year extension can be negotiated pending fundingavailability and performance review.

Candidate Requirements
The candidate must have already obtained or shall be awarded a PhD in Business, Economics, Psychology, andEngineering, or any business-related disciplines, by 31 March 2026. The PhD could be granted by either an Italianor International institution. Applicants must meet the following specifications:
a) a research track record of, or potential to achieve, publications in leading international journals;
b) the ability to pursue research activity, and a willingness to contribute to the broad research profile ofthe Department, through seminar and conference presentations etc.;
c) the willingness to seek external research funding and ability to conduct research with impact andconnection with practice;
d) the ability to act as a good citizen, participating and contributing to the development and success of theDepartment;
e) proficiency in spoken and written English and the ability to work well as part of a team.
The Department is particularly interested in applicants who will contribute to the research areas within thebusiness domain. Research themes carried out by the department include HRM, Operations and Supply Chain,Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and International Business.

The Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padua was founded in 1989 and countsover 2000 students and more than 80 full time faculty and over 30 post-docs conductingresearch in economicsor business fields .
