The Company

OXBO are delighted to be working with European leading IPP within the Renewable Energy Sector, specialising in Solar.

As Solar Operations Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of Solar power systems in Italy.

The Role
  • Monitoring Solar PV systems via SCADA and other platforms, analysing performance and identifying issues or improvement opportunities.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance and troubleshooting inverter faults, communication issues, and module defects alongside on-site technicians.
  • Implementing data-driven optimisation strategies and recommending system upgrades.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations while maintaining accurate operational documentation.
  • Providing technical support and training to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting commissioning, testing, and project handovers in collaboration with project managers.
What you will bring
  • 3 + years in solar operations, O&M, or similar technical roles, including experience working in Italy.
  • Strong understanding of PV technology, inverters, AC / DC systems, and power electronics.
  • Proven experience in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar power systems.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like SCADA.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python).
  • Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards for solar installations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Fluent in Italian, and advanced in English.
  • Eligibility to work in Italy.
