Job Description

We are looking for an experienced software engineering professional with a strong background in projects to join us at our Discovery Centre in Genoa, Italy.

Key Responsibilities

• Define data architecture, create design, write, and maintain high-quality code in different programming languages, ensure good data flow between database and backend systems, and strive for optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Ensure successful development and deployment of model code, data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces into production, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure technical solutions meet customer goals, analyze user needs, and participate in meetings to define requirements.
• Mentor less experienced developers, ensuring high-quality work and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in C#, SQL, GIT, Visual Studio, HTML/CSS.
• Experience with WinForms, TypeScript, Angular, and JavaScript.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server and/or MongoDB.
• Strong background in software design, architecture, and development methodologies.
• Collaborative problem-solving skills, action-oriented, and results-focused.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Familiarity with DevExpress XAF and experience with Agile development methods and backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA) is preferred.
• Experience leading small development teams is an advantage, but we can help you grow into this role.
