A global research firm is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead modernization efforts and oversee a team of software engineers. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in Python and related technologies, and demonstrate excellent leadership skills to mentor the team effectively. This full-time role is remote and offers competitive salary and flexible working hours, focusing on achieving a good work-life balance.
Our hiring teams will be taking a short winter break between 22 December and 2 January. We’ll pick things back up as soon as we’re back.
The Interviewing Team builds and evolves the survey runtime and related capabilities that power reliable, fraud-resilient data collection across devices and channels. The team collaborates closely with Authoring, Sampling, Data Management & Data Processing, the Member Platform and the SRE team to deliver secure, observable, and performant participant experiences.
As an Engineering Manager you have a deep understanding of your teams’ technology. You are able to represent your team’s needs and interests to stakeholders and other company leaders. You make sure that the decisions your team makes are aligned with YouGov’s long term goals and vision. You own delivery and technical solutions within the team. You not only are a technological leader but also a people leader. You help your teammates grow through delegation, feedback and regular 1 : 1’s. You play an active role in the Engineering Management team shaping the entire YouGov Engineering Organisation.
