WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Software Developer - Space Missions

Join our client’s team in Rome as a Software Developer - Space Missions.

YOUR TASKS

1. Overseeing the processes of harvesting, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data aggregation within the data warehouse system.
2. Conducting data mining and analysis to identify and address functional anomalies in the system.
3. Providing support for converting satellite data to the EO-SIP format by developing new converters.
4. Updating existing converters to ensure compatibility and functionality with current requirements.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Secondary school diploma (or higher)
2. Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience
3. Design and development of interfaces between multi-systems
4. Experience in programming in various languages (PL / PostgreSQL, Java and / or Python)
5. Experience in writing complex queries in SQL
6. Data processing and transformation
7. Good written and oral command of English (B1 or higher)

Nice to have :

1. Linux O.S. and native shell scripting
2. Business Intelligence procedures, data presentation tools and techniques (e.g., Tableau or similar BI tools)
3. ETL procedures
4. Nagios or similar monitoring tools
5. Troubleshoot and upgrade of existing software
6. XML / XSD
7. EO data products
