Overview

We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our Service team. He / she will be responsible for covering technical support for the entire Lazio Region. The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS / Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in his / her service area in the country.

Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS / Cantel product lines and related product lines and competitive equipment. This includes: disassembling, replacing or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (e.g., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals).
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization, daily complete service reports, maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
  • Use corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle daily activity.
  • Develop and maintain effective communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS / Cantel products and services, identify opportunities and pass leads to management and sales.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required Experience: Plus: Minimum of 2 years industry related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilize processing units
  • Valid driver's license required and willingness to travel (80% of the time)
  • Good troubleshooting skills as well as proven organization attitude
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language.
  • Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical or electronic technical training scheme.
