Senior Financial Accountant

Your new role
As our new Senior Financial Accountant, you will be part of the Central European Finance & Administration team. Our team is vibrant, innovative, international, and supportive. You will manage a CE organization, such as Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, or any other new countries in Europe as we expand. You will support the team abroad and collaborate with colleagues from different countries.
Your key responsibilities will be :
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Be responsible for the monthly and yearly closure of books of accounts as per Group calendar and deadlines.
- Prepare and submit all required tax filings and ensure compliance with all tax laws (including VAT, WHT, and statistical reports, among others).
- Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with internal Group policies related to finance functions and fulfill internal requirements such as cash forecasts.
- Coordinate the Finance Shared Service Centre in India, supporting queries, maintaining regular dialogue, finding opportunities for improvement, and managing the performance of relevant teams through feedback and process analysis with other key functions in Ramboll – Group Treasury, Group Tax, Transformation Team, Group Audit, etc.
- Manage non-standard F&A transactions.
- Represent F&A in the integration process of newly acquired companies in Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Portugal.
- Integrate and harmonize financial systems (ERP, accounting software) across acquired entities, ensuring smooth data flow and reporting.
- Ensure clear communication with key stakeholders.
- Ensure the successful implementation of new software or tools in compliance with local regulations.
About you
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Degree or Bachelor's in Economics, Finance, or similar.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in the role and in a multinational company.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
- Confident in using ERP software and working with international teams.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong time management, team coordination, problem-solving, and precision skills.
